My name is Carley Sasuta and I am a 17 year old senior at Fort Mill High School currently enrolled in AP Art. I have always enjoyed creating artwork and this class is allowing me to expand my style while also pushing me to try new things. This page provides a glimpse into my artistic style and what I have created throughout my weeks in AP Art. Feel free to keep up with this page and watch my collection grow as I begin my Sustained Investigation.
For my sustained investigation, I decoded to focus on giving off a stained glass feel through the use of color gradations and line work. My biggest challenge while working on this was coming up with creative compositions. It was difficult to make unique and complex compositions using various organic shapes, however I tried my best to over come this obstacle. My "aha moment" was when I created the artwork titled "Stained Glass." I loved the way that piece came out and as soon as it was finished I knew I wanted to create more works like it, which then lead into me coming up with my sustained investigation idea. My experience in AP art allowed me to grow as an artist by allowing me to expand my ideas and find a unique style that I enjoy doing. |
